Thank you for choosing the House of Poniros to create your very own memories! Our family has been designing precious jewellery for 3 generations, with unique craftsmanship, integrity & quality.
Taking proper care of your jewellery is essential to ensure its longevity, beauty and value.
Whether you have a fine jewellery collection, a precious family heirloom, or just a brand new piece, it is important to take good care of them to extend their lifespan and enjoy them for years to come.
Cleaning tips
- Avoid wearing jewellery when doing physical exercises or housework
- A soft, lint-free cloth is essential to clean your jewellery before storing it
- A soft toothbrush is ideal for intricate pieces with lots of detailing
- Soak the jewels in warm water & extra mild soap for 15-20min and very gently scrub with a soft cloth or a soft-bristled toothbrush. Rinse thoroughly under running water to remove any soap residues, and pat dry with a soft lint-free cloth.
- Be extra careful when cleaning jewellery that has small gemstones or diamonds. Scrubbing too hard can dislodge the stones.
- Never clean your jewellery directly in a sink. Use a bowl instead.
Storing tips
- Jewellery padded boxes and cloth pouches are the best and safest way to store your fine jewellery.
- Regardless of the type of materials, jewellery should be stored away from natural sunlight, heat & humidity.
- Diamonds are the hardest material, separate the pieces properly to avoid scratching or tangling each other, especially when dealing with gold necklaces.
We look forward to seeing you again in Greece and share more memories together!
